We will complete a detailed clean and scrub down of solar panels with water and a mild detergent to ensure no dust or debris is left on solar panels as this can result in low efficiencies if there is a thick layer of dust which reduces the amount of UV light entering the solar panel. Microcracks can occur in solar panels when they are not cleaned regularly. Microcracks and hot spots are caused when cells are covered for a long period of time, by a build up of leaves or bird droppings, for example. When the cells are covered, they shut down while the areas which areant covered continue to work and form hot spots around the areas which are shut down. Cracks and hot spots reduce the overall performance of solar panels. We will examine your solar panels for hot spots and cracks then assess if they need to be repaired.

Power check, ensuring the solar panels are producing power in line with our linear performance guarantees. If we identify any performance issues related to the solar panel and inverter we cannot fix immediately we will refer back to manufacturer for a repair or replacement as per our guarantees.

Electrical safety check, ensuring that the installation is done in accordance with guidelines and at no risk of fires. Switchboard are sometimes nesting places for things like small animals or insects which can short circuit or burn out switchboards if they have caused damaged electrical cabling or switch gear. If left unchecked and deteriorated, we will not be able to honour the warranties if it also damages solar panels and or inverters.
